Mexican Rush is to sativa what single malt is to whisky. A descendant of a landrace native to Mexico's Pacific Coast, Mexican Rush has been part of the scene since the 1960s.

By hunting down this heritage Mexican sativa and stabilising it in feminised form, Royal Queen have made this previously rare strain available to growers everywhere. Now, with the launch of Mexican Rush Auto, they've made it even easier to cultivate this strain.

Cultivated outside Acapulco in the Sierra Madre del Sur mountain range, Mexican Rush’s aromatic and potent buds attracted considerable attention beyond the US border during the counterculture movement of the 1960s and 1970s.

Royal Queen's breeders meticulously hunted through countless Mexican sativas to track down and stabilise this prized variety. As if that wasn't enough, they then crossed their feminised Mexican Rush with Royal Haze Auto to preserve its genetics in autoflowering form.

Mexican Rush Auto by Royal Queen Seeds produces long, wispy sativa flowers with a generous coating of frosty trichomes. After drying and curing, this strain's immaculate flowers take on a lovely golden sheen. Its aromas are rich and complex, and offer a stark contrast to the candy-sweet aromas of modern strains. Packed with myrcene, caryophyllene, and limonene, Mexican Rush Auto's flavours are fruity, earthy, sweet, and spicy all at once. Meanwhile, her 20% THC level produces a classic sativa head high coupled with soothing physical effects. By crossing their original Mexican Rush with Royal Haze Auto, Royal Queen were able to create an 80% sativa hybrid that preserves all the original flavours and effects of Mexican Rush in a compact, fast-flowering strain. Mexican Rush Auto seeds grow into vigorous plants that reach max heights of 130cm indoors and up to 150cm under the sun. A total of 14 weeks after germination, these speedy plants can be harvest-ready, yielding up to 500g/m² inside and up to 220g/plant outdoors.
