Mexican Rush originates from Mexico's Pacific Coast, particularly the mountainous regions surrounding the city of Acapulco, known as the Sierra Madre del Sur. In response to the area's year-round hot and tropical climate, Mexican Rush plants exhibit unique traits that set them apart from other strains.
